Former Chocolate City artiste, Brymo in a rather rare move
yesterday, January 24, 2015, unveiled his pregnant boo
with the announcement that he’s expecting a child soon
although without saying anything about the mother.
Brymo, who released his 4 studio album, Tabula Rasa in
October 2014, made the announcement a few hours ago on
Instagram when he shared pictures of his pregnant boo with
the caption: ‘ We gonna have a baby!! Am gonna be
daddy!!!!… Singing’ .
As fas as the picture goes, it shouldn’t be more than few
weeks before Brymo, who departed his former label in
acrimonious circumstances, becomes eligible for the title of
a father. And as far as it is, he can put aside all other
issues and rejoice for the blessings of an addition on the
home front.
With the expected baby, Brymo will join other baby daddies
in the music industry like Ice Prince , Timaya, Wizkid among
others who are not married but have children born to them.

Well, it’s the age of fake social media accounts and
Nigerian celebrities are the worst hit when you put
together a roll call of victims.
With the fake Twitter account of late Muna Obiekwe and
atrocities committed by the impostor still lingering in the
minds of Nigerians, another case has just been reported.
Even worse, this time, it didn’t even happen on social
media.
Daily Independent reports that a Lagos politician
and managing director of Lagos-based travel agency,
Aeroland Travels, Segun Adewale popularly known
as Aeroland, has been duped of 500k.
The report says Adewale, a Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) senatorial candidate for Lagos West in the
forthcoming 2015 election, lost half a million Naira to
someone posing as Mavin first lady, Tiwa Savage . Having
declared his intention to run for Senate in 2015 again
and obtaining his party’s nomination form in November
2014, Segun Adewale reportedly contacted the fake ‘Tiwa
Savage’ to perform at his political declaration party.
The politician was however disappointed when the
‘Kelekele Love ‘ singer did not show up at the event.
Presently, Segun Adewale is banking on the financial
institution through which the money was paid to help get
what is left of the amount as a withdrawal has already been
made on the beneficiary account.

News: Extremist Boko Haram Releases 190 Hostages in North-East

Nigerian extremist group Boko Haram has
released about 190 captives, who returned to
their community in the north-east state of Yobe
between Friday and Saturday, while other
people are still being held, local and state
officials say.
"The people will be presented to the government
[Sunday] for assistance as their houses were
set ablaze when the insurgents attacked the
village, Katarko in the Gujba local council,"
Goni Mali, a community leader of Katarko said.
Abdullahi Bego, spokesman for the state
governor, said the militants released young
men, women and children who were kidnapped
on January 6.
At least 20 other people were still being held.
Boko Haram has been waging a five-year
insurgency to establish an Islamic state in the
north-east of the country.
Borno state is the worst hit, followed by
Adamawa and Yobe.
Some of the women who were released said the
militants let them go after they resisted
following the rules of the group.
"They say since you have refused to accept our
mode of religious teachings, go and follow your
'Infidels', we hereby order you to leave," one of
the women said.
The group frequently raids towns and kidnaps
young men, women and children as well as
some foreign workers.
A German national was freed in Cameroon last
week after being abducted in Nigeria's
Adamawa state in July.
In neighbouring Borno state, at least 14 people
were killed and houses set on fire on Friday in a
suspected Boko Haram attack on the village of
Kambari, 5 kilometres from state capital
Maiduguri, a military source and eye witnesses
said.

Although it is an unpleasant experience to be a
defeated contender, becoming an ex-champion is a
much more grievous experience. When you are not
a champion, only a few people pay attention to you.
But by the time you become a champion, you will
be on the radar of many people, including your
enemies. A champion has more enemies to contend
with than an ordinary contender. I pray you will not
be an ex-champion in Jesus’ Name.
The story in our scripture reading is a sad one. The
people of God had just recorded victory over a great
city called Jericho, and they forged ahead to
occupy a small village called Ai. To their surprise
and consternation, they were beaten silly! Their
leader, Joshua, was downcast. But after making
enquiries from God, he discovered the cause of
their defeat. What great lessons we can draw from
this story! There is always a reason for every set-
back suffered by a child of God. Therefore, it is
expedient that periodic, self examination becomes a
lifestyle among children of God.
The Almighty had warned the children of Israel not
to take anything from Jericho as booty, but Achan
defied this instruction and stole part of the
accursed materials. Joshua did not know about
this. This singular act brought a lot of war
causalities to the Israelites and turned the whole
nation to ex-war champions. The nation remained
defeated until the accused thing was removed form
the congregation of the people of God, including the
culprit and his household. Beloved of God, I want to
encourage you to abstain from any form of
ungodliness because it is deadly (Romans 6:23).
After a man’s sins are forgiven, the next thing is for
the fellow to stop living in sin and to perform
restitution. In John 5:14, our Lord Jesus Christ told
the man He graciously healed to go and sin no
more so that a more terrible thing does not come
on him. In conclusion:
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;
prove your own selves. Know ye not your own
selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you except ye
be reprobates? 2 nd Corinthians 13:5
May the Lord be with your soul.
Prayer Point:
Holy Spirit, please help me to be vigilant in
maintaining my victory in Christ and help me not to
fall into any temptation.

BREAKING NEWS: Boko Haram Release Video Showing Kidnapped Chibok Girls

Boko Haram released a new video on Monday claiming to show the missing Nigerian schoolgirls, alleging they had converted to Islam and would not be released until all militant prisoners were freed. The Boko Haram has released a video purportedly showing the kidnapped Chibok girls. The video shows Abubakar Shekau, the fugitive Boko Haram leader, and over 100 girls wearing hijab. In the video, shown on BBC, Mr. Shekau claimed the girls had become Muslims.

The girls could be seen in the video wearing the full length black and ash-coloured hijab with only their faces showing, and reciting Quranic verses. Mr. Shekau said he would release the girls only if Boko Haram prisoners held nationwide are released. The over 200 girls were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State on April 14.

Nearing the end of the service, during the time Joshua’s ‘Wise Men’ were minisring ‘deliverance’ to people, an aggressive young man dressed in a shabby suit was ushered forward. “I am one of the Boko Haram,”the man declared to the wise man, clearly under an unusual influence.“They said they would give me N2,000,000 if I went to blow up a church,”the man continued upon questioning as to how he joined the infamous group of insurgents.“Every church would be N2,000,000. They said would be give me big house and a wife.” Queried as to why he came to the church, the man stated,“I have been hearing of T.B. Joshua – that is why I came here.”The wise man then prayed for the man who fell heavily to the ground, before being declared free from the ‘evil spirit’. Several minutes later, T.B. Joshua himself returned to the service simply clad in jeans and a t-shirt.“I was in the prayer room when I heard the deliverance going on and listened to the confession of this guy. What he was confessing is mind-boggling,”the cleric told the congregation. Bringing the man back before the congregation, Joshua questioned him further as to how he was initiated into the sect.“My name is Hosea Bulus,”the man began.“They gave me blood; they gave me charms. I took it inside food.” According to Bulus, upon taking the diabolic ‘blood’, the urge to kill and destroy entered him. “If you talk to me, I will fight you very well,”he confessed. Joshua emphasised to the congregation that the battle was more spiritual than physical.“One thing you must know – we are fighting evil spirits that steal, kill and destroy. Let us not fight our neighbours.” He insisted the problem was not a Muslim-Christian issue.“They are using that name as a camouflage, as a cover up,”he stated, adding that no one could bring himself to killing innocent lives without being under the influence of an ‘evil spirit’. Joshua then prayed for the man, who fell to his knees and immediately complained that he wanted to visit the toilet. The popular pastor reminded the congregation of the well-publicized deliverance of an alleged Boko Haram member named ‘Mustapha’ two months ago at The SCOAN who stated he came to bomb the church with four accomplices. He explained that authorities in Abuja have certified the authenticity of his confession, contrary to the statement released by Lagos State Police Commissioner Umar Manko who initially dismissed the claims. “At the beginning they said it’s not true but the authorities in Abuja came out to confirm that he is truly a Boko Haram member… They are following it up.” The cleric concluded by stating he would not ask any further questions publicly so as not to undermine the intelligence Hosea would be able to provide to the relevant authorities. Several minutes later, the man was shown excreting out some blackish substances following the prayer.

NEWS:Abducted Chibok girls seen in Central Africa

There are strong indications that the terrorist sect, Boko Haram, may have moved some of the over 200 schoolgirls it abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State out of West Africa.There were reports on Friday that some of the abducted schoolgirls were seen in Birao, Central African Republic with armed men.  Birao is a small town in the north of the CAR.The Islamic sect had abducted pupils of the school on April 14 and taken them into the forests along the Nigeria-Cameroon border.Over 50 of the pupils escaped while being moved out of the school.An online report by a French news medium, Jeune Afrique, on Friday, said villagers saw about 50 young women led by armed men in the North Central African Republic last week.The report was translated into English by one of our correspondents.The report says, “The Nigerian schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram have passed through the northern CAR, escorted by armed men. Based on several testimonies of inhabitants, the women arrived Wednesday, April 30 aboard trucks.“They were guarded by heavily armed men, who spoke English, and also members of the former (CAR) rebel Seleka.”Seleka is an alliance of Islamic rebel militia factions that overthrew the Central African Republic government early last year and installed their leader as president. The group which has reportedly carried out several executions, rape and looting split last year with Christian and Muslim factions terrorising the CAR, forcing France to send more troops to the region.The French newspaper added that natives of Birao were afraid to approach the kidnapped girls.“According to our source, the convoy of two trucks and a pickup was previously seen at Tiroungoulou (about 170 kilometres southwest of Birao) and perhaps Chad.“Upon arrival, some were frightened, cried and were violently rebuked in English. The girls and their guardians were then housed for several days in a house.“The group reportedly left the scene on the night of Sunday to Monday, May 4 to 5, without a trace,” the report said.Barely 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan said no group had claimed responsibility for the abduction of the pupils, Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, claimed responsibility for the abduction.Shekau, while claiming responsibility for the seizure of the girls in a video, threatened to sell  the abducted girls. “I abducted your girls. I will sell them in the market, by Allah,” he said.Earlier, there were reports that the girls were taken to neighbouring Cameroon and Chad.The Cameroonian government however faulted reports that some of the teenagers had been married off in the country.Cameroon’s Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakari, was quoted as saying he was shocked by accusations that Cameroon was not collaborating with Nigeria to free the girls from their captors.“We insist that allegations from Nigeria that a part of the 200 young female students recently kidnapped in the North-East of Nigeria would have been transferred to Cameroon to be forced into marriage to members of the Boko Haram sect are fully unfounded.“Cameroon will never ever serve as a support base for destabilisation activities towards other countries,” he was quoted as saying.The Unites States, Britain, France and China have, however, expressed their readiness to assist Nigeria in rescuing the girls. The US and British military personnel and hardware arrived in the country between Thursday and Friday.One of our correspondents in Abuja also gathered that the Federal Government would engage Israel in the search for the abducted girls.SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that the Federal Government and Israeli authorities had held a series of meetings since the girls were abducted on April 14.A security source said on Friday that the collaborative efforts between Israel and Nigeria on the issue of terrorism and insurgency had been ongoing for some time.The source who pleaded anonymity said, “The issue of collaboration with Israeli and other countries did not start now, a lot of meetings have been held on insurgency.”When contacted on Friday, the Press Officer of the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria, Mr. Tony Obiechina, said the embassy had closed for the day and could not respond to the issue.He said, “We have closed. I will have to meet with the ambassador on Monday to see if there is any information on your request.”

Breaking News: Another Bridge Blown Up By Boko Haram

Suspected members of Islamist terror group, Boko Haram, yesterday blew up another bridge that links Borno and Adamawa States, according to a Nigerian military source as well as residents in the area.A picture taken from a video distributed to journalists in recent days through intermediaries and obtained by AFP on March 5, 2013 reportedly shows Abubakar Shekau (center), the suspected leader of Islamist extremist group, flanked by six armed and hoodedThe sources said members of the insurgent sect have continued their rampage in isolated towns in the northeast. Yesterday, Boko Haram militants also attacked residents of Limankara community in Gwoza local government area of Borno State, burning more than 300 houses. Limankara is in the southern part of Borno State, about 147 kilometers from Maiduguri.A source in the town said the residence of the district head of Limankara was one of the homes burnt down by the rampaging insurgents. The district head is the father of the Borno State Commissioner of Trade and Commerce.One resident, Titus Musa, said the insurgents took away his car. He added that they also hauled away "over three thousands bags of foodstuffs and 10 vehicles."Another source in the community said the Boko Haram members torched a church belonging to the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN). "We are helpless," one of the residents said."We don't deserve this. Let the government do something fast about these demons before they finish [off] our generations." Last Monday, Boko Haram insurgents abducted eight teenagers from Waranbe community. Our military source said the insurgents had taken over the town of Gworza and its surrounding areas.

His repeated attacks on defenceless civilians, including mass kidnappings and the slaughter of scores of students in their sleep goes to show how ruthless he's become.Shekau has been wrecking havoc across the nation and has been releasing videos to boast about his escapades. And he was found guilty of attempting to sell his 13-year-old son for N8 million.Kareem's other accomplices, Abdullateef Mumuni and Kadir Rasaq, both from Benin Republic, also faced the same sentence.Mr. Adebanji Ayeomoni, the Chief Magistrate of the court, stated that the sentence was without any option of a fine."Having found the three accused persons guilty of the two counts of conspiracy and attempt to sell a human being, the three are hereby sentenced to three years imprisonment each without an option of fine.," Adebanji said.The prosecutor of the case reportedly said: "Saibu brought his son from Cotonou, Benin Republic, to Nigeria to meet with the other accused persons, who live in Ibadan, to help him find buyers."Luck ran out on the accused when they contacted someone in Ondo town who in turn informed the police about their intention."Their contact in Ondo pretended to be interested in the deal and he kept negotiating with them until the arrival of the police."The offence contravenes the provisions of sections 516 of the Criminal Code cap 37 vol.1 laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006 and contrary to section 30 (1) and punishable under section 30 (3) 0f the 0ndo State Child Right Laws,2007.Wonders shall never end
